Hertfordshire Funding Fair 2007 - Roots to Success

Hundreds of delegates from the Third Sector (voluntary & community organisations, social enterprises and not-for-profit organisations), town, parish and district councils, children’s centres, extended schools and other statutory agencies took part in the opportunity for networking and training at the 7th Hertfordshire Funding Fair at Hatfield’s Fielder Centre on 17 October

Fact file:

• At least 380 people attended at some point during the day
• Of these 303 were delegates and 77 were either workshop presenters or involved in hosting information stands
• 25 training and information workshops were delivered
• 1 information visit took place to a social enterprise organisation in St Albans
• 31 information stands were kept busy from 10am - 4pm
• . . . . hundreds of valuable networking opportunities were made!!

The Hertfordshire Funding Fair has proved to be a very successful way of providing local and countywide groups with expert advice and putting them in touch with lottery distributors, grant making trusts and other organisations who can give them financial or in-kind support.
