Blue Badge Disabled Parking Scheme

Blue badge close up with key The Blue Badge scheme gives on-street parking concessions to people who have severe mobility problems.

You can get a badge if:
  • you have very severe walking difficulties and are a driver or a passenger.
  • you are registered blind.
  • you drive a vehicle regularly and have a severe disability in both arms.

The badge cannot be used for temporary disabilities such as a broken limb or convalescence.

In Hertfordshire the badge is issued through Hertfordshire County Council’s Adult Care Services.

IMPORTANT: These pages are a summary of a leaflet published by Adult Care Services. To view the full text of the leaflet online, or order copies, please use the Adult Care Services Publications link and navigate to the People with disabilities section.
