Place Survey - your area, your views
Background
The Place Survey is a new nationwide consultation, designed to help local councils and the government to understand people’s views and experiences of their local area and local public services. It will help us to find out how well Hertfordshire County Council – and our partners in District/Borough councils, the police, and NHS – are delivering our services and tackling the issues that matter to local people.
Methodology
The survey is being conducted as a joint project between the Hertfordshire County Council and the ten District and Borough Councils in Hertfordshire. It will be sent by post to a random sample of around 40,000 households across the county at the end of September.
The questions in the survey cover the following themes:
- About your local area
-
Your local public services
-
Information
-
Local decision-making
-
Helping out
-
Getting involved
-
Respect and consideration
-
Community Safety
Your views are important to us – so if you receive a copy of the survey, please do take the time to complete it and return it in the Freepost envelope provided.
The survey aims to cover a fully random sample of residents. Unfortunately, we will therefore not be able to provide copies of the survey on request.
Keeping you informed
The results of the survey will be available in early 2009, and will be published on this website and in the council’s magazine Hertfordshire Horizons.
